I can understand their desire; it is very satisfying to create something beautiful and useful with your own hands.
Here at Two Sheds Workshop, not only will you learn new skills and become familiar with tools of the trade, you will gain confidence, feel satisfaction and share your experience with some wonderful, like-minded women in the process.
I am a qualified Carpenter, Joiner and Licensed Builder with over 30 years experience in the industry. Over the years many questions have been asked about what my job entails.
Talking to many women, I discovered that like myself, they were particularly interested in creating items and tackling projects in their homes independently. Obtaining my Training and Assessment Certificate I have taught woodwork and carpentry to adults, children in schools programs and various government-funded initiatives.
Work Experience students and apprentices have gained knowledge from my participation in these support networks.
My passion for Woodwork and Building has brought me to this space in helping create programs to support and empower women. My aim is to remove the "fear” of learning new skills and processes in woodwork. I believe the only obstacle stopping women is their self doubt and fear in giving it a shot!! With my guidance and support you will not only develop your skills, but also nurture your soul.
I have had the privilege of meeting many amazing women through my courses over the last year.
Perhaps we are on a path to meet soon too…..
Two Sheds Workshop provides a supportive learning environment to gain confidence, knowledge and skills to carry out your own projects, with small classes and basic tools and equipment most would have at home.
